I have just flowered this white with colour in lip, perfumed beauty in Townsville, Australia. I have 3 questions,
1. Where does the word "purpurata" come from? and,
2. What does the word "purpurata" mean? and,
3. What does "carnea" mean?
Thanks.
I probably shouldn't say this but I will. If I were you I would e mail Ron Mc Hatton at AOS headquarters for a really good interpretation of what the words mean in relation to the orchid in question. Or you could Google each word and make your own determination. And incidentally you have a very nice flower.
