Default What's eating my Oncidium?

Can anyone tell me what's eating the leaves on my Oncidium? This damage happened very quickly - almost overnight. I need to figure out what is causing the damage so I can figure out how to treat the plant. Thank you to anyone who can help.

Question

I'm no expert but I did notice tiny white spots in the center of several of the larger spots. I have seen this when Scale is attacking my plants. the tiny spot in the center could be where the crawler has pierced the plant and then the larger spot is damage to the leaf.

Have you checked on the underside of the leaf? Try to determine if whatever it is lurks on the underside. If Drew is right and it is scale, at this point you can probably wipe them off with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.

I have looked at the underside of the leaves and found nothing. I was wondering if it might be scale but wasn't sure what it looked like. I went ahead and wiped the leaves with a cotton swab and alcohol. Hopefully this will help.

Thank you so much for your comments.

Even I had the same problem, i wiped them off with a cotton swab dipped in neem oil, cleansed with a dish soap solution using toothbrush followed by spraying with alcohol every few days to get rid of white scale outbreak and have kept it under control for years now
