Default alcohol and cinnamon?

can i use cinnamon and rubbing alcohol as a fungicide preventive on my orchids?
its raining cats and dogs and overcast and my orchids are all outside.

I am not aware that pyrethrins are fungicides...

If you make a cinnamon infusion in alcohol or water, it will function as a fungicide (cinnamaldehyde is the active ingredient). I have never used it as a preventive, just a curative measure.

thanks, no LOWES here in mexico so i have to make a lot of my own stuff.

Pyrethrins are a great contact pesticide and not a fungicide.

You can also go to the baking department at your local store and find liquid cinnamon in the flavoring extracts, much easier to use in liquid form for many things.

Orchid growers and many gardeners know that cinnamon is a great natural fungicide. Cinnamon kills fungus and prevents more from growing.
