Ray, Here are some tips that might help you.

If you select the the New Post link in the site menu (under the logo or under the breadcrumb) you will get a list of all the newest conversation. You can use that list to see what conversations have been going on since your last visit.

In the New Post list you will see a >> (in a box) next to the last poster name. Clicking this will take you to the last post made after your last visit to the thread.

If there is a thread that you really want to stay on top of you can subscribe to thread. To subscribe you select Subscribe to this Thread from the Thread Tools menu at the top of the thread. You can select how you want to be updated on the thread. You can manage subscriptions from the User CP.
