Beallaras are complex intergeneric hybrids composed of miltonia, odontoglossum, cochlioda, and brassia, As such, Diana Dunn has species in its background that run the gamut of cold/cool/intermediate/warm/hot temperature tolerances and low/medium/high light levels.

The 'Newberry' cultivar was selected by Carter & Holmes for its tolerance of moderately bright, dappled light, and intermediate-to-warm growing conditions.

I find that it like a lot of water while in active growth (I grow mine in semi-hydroponics), and does quite well next to my paphs - maybe a bit brighter.
