Ditto what xristie9 say: Find a hybrid and try it. Maybe the folks at J&L Orchids can recommend something you'd have better success with. J&L is in Connecticut: http://www.jlorchids.com/ Not that Connecticut is close to you, but just that they are in the same relative geographic region that you are and so their orchids are relatively acclimated to your climate.

Was there something about ignea in particular that caught your eye?
