Hello, my name is Cole. I am currently a fifteen year-old, soon-to-be Sophomore in a small rural town located in Missouri. For the past few months, I've been serious into orchid growing after falling in love with a Phalaenopsis Little Skipper "Zuma Nova" from a local big box store. I couldn't resist so I simply took it home, reading up on all types of orchids as much as I could. I bought most of the necessities and am finally getting the hang of growing with my collection at Phalaenopsis Little Skipper "Zuma Nova", Phalaenopsis "Soto Manager", Vanilla Planifolia and Vairegated Vanilla.
However, this wasn't my first time trying to raise orchids. About two years ago I purchased one from a big box store, and it's partially the reason I'm here posting today. It is the reason I began to like orchids and why even after it died, I came back today and tried again. I'm hoping to one day find out what it is (Along with getting a greenhouse, but hey, here's to hoping) and purchase one so I can finally rest in peace knowing I have a second chance at growing it.
You can find the topic that I posted
HERE. I can't wait to make myself at home here on the American Orchid Society forums, and hopefully find an answer to my question. Big dreams for a fifteen year-old, right?
