Thank you Ron. I has taken me many years of learning to achieve modest degree of success with these plants. But the beauty of their flowers and their interesting biological characteristics make it worthwhile.
A lot of time spent perusing orchid catalogs and the internet has not hurt either

Reallyenjoyed your dendrobs and have some myself which I grow here in Manhattan.

Bty, I will be traveling to PR soon. Can you tell me if it is permissable to bring back plants to the States? Thanks

I am not sure what the regulations as to traveling with plants to USA. However I think you can mail the plants to yourself from the island. I think some local vendors can send the plants to the USA. I have sent several plants to the USA and also received some with no problem. However both the plants I have sent and those I have received were small, bareroot and easily packed types. If you want to buy a full grown Vandopsis gigantea things might be a little difficult
