This species was a puzzle to me as it didn't bloom even though it was an adult and in good health. I decided to move it to a spot where it got a few hours of full sun in the morning to see if this would trigger blooming. I also reduced the frequency of watering during the local dry season. This combination seemed to work and the plant bloomed at the end of the dry season.

I love the unusual flower color. Also the flowers are relatively long lasting. Curiously I have not noticed any foul smell coming from the flowers. Reportedly these flowers produce a disagreeable smell to attract its pollinator.
