Default Cymbidium awards

I was searching the AQ+ yesterday and reviewed the history of Cymbidium awards. The vast majority of the awards were HCC's, mainly 75-78 points, very few AM's and of course only a couple of FCC's.

This is much different than the typical spread for other major genera which have larger proportions of AM's.

These plants have been around for decades and continue to be bred. Do you think this is a reflection of judging bias or lack of knowledge, or few superior plants?

As a judge, I find this a bit unusual and would like to hear some comments.
