Default Cycnoches barthiorum, male flowers.

This plant is one of my most faithful bloomers. Most of the year it thrives with a modest amount of care. But when it growing it demands heavy fertilizing and frequent watering. The plant produces either male or female flowers depending on the amount of resources it was able to accumulate during the growing season. Large vigorous plants growing in full sun can produce female flowers which are green, somwhat leathery and significantly larger than the pink papery male flowers. It blooms for me in late summer and early autumn.
