Default Dendrobium secundum

This plant's flowers are a deep fuchsia that is difficult to capture on a photo, it is my oldest plant and has produced three and a half feet long canes, the longer of all my plants (in the wild they can reach six feet). My plants bloom both from fully leafed and from leafless canes.

This is the most common flower color, a pink color that can vary from plant to plant.

A white flowered clone, not actually a plant of mine but it is so nice it has made me want to add one of this to my collection. I am not sure if the slight pink blush that can be seen in the photo was actually present on the flowers or if it is an artifact produced by the camera.

Ricardo, your secundum appears to be much more deeply colored than mine...lovely species! I have been fortunate that non of my canes hare longer than a foot on mine. There is another one in the greenhouse that has 3' long canes.

Ricardo,
Do you grow in a greenhouse or your home? Awesome blooms.

I live in the tropics so I grow the orchids outside on a shade house. The best performing of my Den. secundum plants gets full sun from day break to 11:00 am. Plants in shadier conditions produce less flowers.
